We have been informed through the owners of Krystal International Vacation Club's Timeshare / Vacation Club members, about receiving offers allegedly issued by an office or entity of which we do not know their legitimacy or origin, to carry out the acquisition of their memberships.

By virtue of the foregoing, Hotelera Chicome, S.A. de C.V., Promotora Turística Mexicana S.A. de C.V., Hotelera Caracol S.A. de C.V. and Hotelera Santa Fe S.A. de C.V., hereby informs that never and by no means promotes or generates the direct or indirect acquisition of Timeshare or Vacation Club rights in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Acapulco, Guerrero, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero or Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México, or in any other entity of the Mexican Republic or abroad; nor has authorized or entered into any kind of agreement, arrangement, understanding, or has granted any representation or authorization to any entity public or private, affiliate or subsidiary of Hotelera Chicome, S.A. de C.V., Promotora Turística Mexicana S.A. de C.V., Hotelera Caracol S.A. de C.V. or Hotelera Santa Fe S.A. de C.V., in Mexico or abroad for such purposes, therefore we are unaware of any promotion or negotiation that is promoted or managed, on its behalf, representation and / or with its authorization.

Hotelera Chicome, S.A. de C.V., Promotora Turística Mexicana S.A. de C.V., Hotelera Caracol S.A. de C.V. and Hotelera Santa Fe S.A. de C.V., recommends that any offer of this nature that is received should be ignored in order to avoid scams and frauds being carried out on its behalf.

What do I do If I’m Contacted by a Reseller?

1. Please exercise caution if you are contacted by anyone claiming to be related to Krystal International Vacation Club (KIVC). Certain resale service providers are offering to sell an owner’s timeshare (including Krystal International Vacation Club (KIVC) members) and thereby relieve the owner of her or his ongoing maintenance fee obligation, in exchange for payment of up-front fees and execution of a power of attorney to sell the owner’s timeshare.
2. Consult with an attorney and/or their resort to confirm that a transfer of ownership and the corresponding maintenance fee obligation will occur as represented and any resulting sale or rental will be honored.
3. Contact Krystal International Vacation Club (KIVC) directly with any questions. The KIVC staff values its members and supports efforts by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) to help consumers and timeshare owners navigate through the secondary market.
