“Everyone wants to be a part of the perfect vacation.” The four things we love about Krystal Vallarta 1. Location, Location, Location On one of our earlier trips to Puerto Vallarta we were met at the airport and whisked off to a resort hotel somewhere to the north. It was an “all inclusive” resort – you know the type – once you’re on the grounds you are pretty much a prisoner there. Too remote for easy travel. Just enough amenities to justify keeping you there, but, you know, that type of a venue could be dropped into just about any country. I find them to be sterile and culturally lacking. Krystal is a completely different experience. Just stepping out of the entrance one becomes immersed in Mexican culture. Its location, minutes from downtown, places “real Mexico” within easy walking distance. 2. The feel of authenticity We travel a lot. I used to travel extensively in my business, often staying in hotels twenty or more nights a month. The last thing I wanted was a place to vacation that reminded me of where I stayed when traveling for business. We walked into Krystal Vallarta and were immediately struck by the enormous reception area. No sterility here. The place was abuzz with activity. Sure there were necessary check-in / check-out activities going on, but staff people were doing so with a purpose, and they had a genuineness about them evidenced by a real eagerness to help and smiles that were much more than painted onto their faces. This display was obviously more than part of a job description. We toured the facilities. We did not find ourselves entombed in a gigantic building where rooms, shops, restaurants, etc. are all juxtaposed into a never ending maze of hallways. Instead we strolled along cobble-stoned pathways that meandered between smaller, more intimate structures, pools, ponds, play areas and gardens. Aqueducts whose appearance left a feeling of timelessness carried water from feature to feature. Where else can you pick a ripe banana right outside your cabana’s door? 3. The staff Do you know how oftentimes a resort staff leaves you feeling like their attitude is ‘another week, another bunch of people’? It’s like you as a person don’t really matter; just do the job, smile and move onto next week’s faceless mass of tourists. Well, let me tell you about the Krystal difference. First, I have never felt unappreciated or like just another customer while vacationing at Krystal. The staff is genuinely concerned that your stay meets your expectations. If anything within reason is needed, it is provided expeditiously, happily. I’m not sure how large the staff there is, but I know that I get the feel that I matter most to them. Whether you needs are related to your accommodations, resort amenities, or outside activities the staff is obviously there to meet your needs. 4. What I would call the ‘Krystal Attitude’ KIVC is keenly aware that competition for vacation dollars is intense. This to me is evidenced by their aggressive resort upgrade activities and their innovative marketing and member retention practices. Yet, I never feel pressured by them to buy more, buy better, buy longer. They just present alternatives and leave me free to select. I see a definite desire on Krystal’s part to keep making the property and the vacationing experience better and better. I choose to stay with them as a client because they make me feel like I matter. This attitude is pervasive within the organization from staff to management to executive levels. When vacationing in Mexico our first choice is always KRYSTAL VALLARTA. Patrick A. Holman - KIVC-7941 |
