Home Away From Home

Twenty years ago my then boyfriend, Andre, and I went to Puerto Vallarta on vacation. We had both traveled to other tourists areas in Mexico but we fell in love with PV for its mountains, jungles and people. We also fell in love with the Krystal Hotel for its traditional Mexican feel, comfortable accommodations and people. We quickly decided that this is a place we could enjoy every year so we bought our first 2 bedroom timeshare.

Andre and I married and along with my new 15 year old step daughter we have traveled to the Krystal every year for the past twenty years. Our daughter grew up, married and now has three children of her own. We get to share two weeks a year with our friend, parents, children and grandchildren. We have shared our tradition with as many as 20 people a week. Our traditions include having one night dinner where we eat the delicious roasted chickens from Giante in our lovely villa, ATV riding and zip line tours, reading great books, swimming in the ocean and making great deals with the beach vendors.

We have 3 grandchildren now and love sharing our second home with them. Our oldest grandson knows how to order a hamburger and virgin margarita at the main swim up pool. He knows that the best boogie boarding time is 4pm. He is now sharing his most fun activities with his two younger sisters. He loves being a big brother that is sharing the vacation tradition with his sisters.

Over the years we have become friends with the many wonderful people that work at the Krystal. We have enjoyed seeing Leo, Salvador, Jose and Rosario every year.

Our 2 bedroom timeshare has since been upgraded to a 3 bedroom villa to accommodate our expanding family. The Krsytal is truly our second home. Our annual vacation has become a family tradition that we will continue to share for many years to come.
